Malacca Trip

Last weekend, we went for a short trip to Malacca planned by my bf’s relatives and boy, we had so much fun over there! :D

This short getaway isn’t a really perfect time for us to get out of town with a couple of projects not completed and dear having a 40% exam the following day.

Oh well, that aside, we drive up to Malacca together with a total of 6 cars and it’s really fun to wait for one another, driving in the same route and looking out for each other car. We brought our walkie talkie along too! Driving up to Malacca is just a quick couple of hours away but driving back to Singapore took about 4-5 hours, no idea why the return route is more distant away from Singapore.

Our hotel chosen is Hotel 906, a pretty new hotel. If you are looking for a budget hotel, this is it! We booked a family room and order one additional bed for the 5 of us. The room is pretty clean and simple breakfast was served. The best thing about this hotel is there is free wireless which is very essential for i-phone users like us! Oh ya, it was a 3 days 2 nights trip!

Below is quick recap of all the pictures in Day 1

On Day 2, we woke up pretty early for breakfast and off we went to visit this beautiful historic town. At the same time, I also spotted a couple of perfect place for shooting! It would be totally insane if I chose to shoot here over at Malacca! ;)

At the recommendation of his relatives, both chicken rice balls and chendol is a must try in Malacca! We settle ourselves at a nearby stall and ordered a couple of dishes. Guess what, the total bill came up to approx $300 plus for chicken rice and chendol. Not really worth it in my opinion! L

Here’s a couple more pictures taken in Day 2

here's a group shot finally! :D

Got ourselves this fedora and it costs only 4 bucks! ;)

Our dinner at night is to have seafood! We had a really great meal. When we arrived at the restaurants, it was totally packed and we waited for half an hr before we were given 3 tables.
We ordered crabs served in pepper and chilli and it looks great, prices are comparable to Singapore. We tried the mango juice and it was so awesomely refreshing I say! It’s a must try!

Pictures for the night

Since it’s the last night in Malacca, we decided to spoil ourselves by visiting the clubs in Malacca! It’s called PURE BAR pretty near to our hotel. We had so much fun enjoying the music over there and open 2 bottles of black label! Prices are cheap as compare to local.

The next morning, we have to check out at about 11am and our last shopping destination is to Makhota Parade Shopping Center and the whole stretch of shopping malls over there and I got myself a pair of wedges @ only 14 bucks from VINCCI and some simple tank tops @ less than 5 bucks. Cool~

We had Bak Ku Teh for lunch before we drove back to Singapore. At that time, I’m totally drained out and I can fall asleep at any minute. We were lucky the stall is still open as it normally operates in the morning till 1 plus only. Go try it if you have any plan to Malacca!
