A Short Getaway to Batam

I managed to get hold of I-phone 4S last few days all thanks to Apple! :D :D

The above pictures are taken by 4S and the pictures are so much clearer as compared to 3GS. Now, i'm finally able to do self taking! :) Booo to 3GS, i sold it away last night. 

I got the white with 16GB space and i love love love the fast speed when i surf the web pages.

Accompany my bf to get it yesterday morning @ Tampines Mall and there's only 20 sets left for 16GB. He was so lucky that he got the 15th set! 

We were walking around Pasal Malam and bought quite a number of casings for our new phone.

Bf and I went for a short getaway last 2 weeks just before the exam results released.

We purchased the special deal from deal.com.sg, $68 per pax exclusive of $20 surcharge and $7 fuel charge.

We had to report @ Harbourfront centre @ 10.30am in the morning. Boarding time is at 12pm. We have to be 1.5hr early to check in.

And finally after 20 mins of waiting, its time!

The travelling time from Singapore to Batam is approximately 1 hour journey.

We spent our time playing Temple Run and see who can break each other high score! Damn addictive and i have been playing it almost every day. Go download ok!!! Recommended!!

There's no coach transfer for us as Harris Hotel is just right beside the ferry terminal.

You will get to see the hotel once you reach the terminal. Relatively new hotel, but i still prefer Harris Resort as compared to this.

As usual, there's welcome drinks and some biscuits for us along with a warm towel to wipe our hands.

I like the drink, tasted something like honeydew, very refreshing!

Our room for 1 night stay

The colorful carpets brighten up the whole room instantly and its really cozy. 

Unfortunately, we didn't get the room which is facing the sea. 

Bf is very particular about hotel toilets whenever we go overseas. Luckily, the toilet is pretty acceptable.

There's a megamall located opposite Harris Hotel and this is the only shopping mall that we can shop unless we travel to town area to Nagoya Hill. We didn't travel in the end as its pretty far away from Harris Hotel so we gave it a miss instead.

A must have whenever you travel to Batam, A&W!!! 

I love the curly fries and root beer filled with ice cream float!

We bought one carton of Indo Mie instant noodles from the Hypermart back to Singapore, its so cheap! 40 packets of instant noodles for only 7-8 bucks! We spotted quite a number of singaporeans bought more than 1 carton back! :P

We caught "Shark Night" 3D since there's a cinema there to spend our time away.

This movie scares me quite a few times and it gives me goosebumps for some part of the shows.

So bloodyyy disgusting i feel. Should have watch Breaking Dawn instead.

You will also get to see Starbacks, Black Canyon, KFC, A&W, J&C doughnut @ the Megamall.

Complimentary Tea time @ Harris Hotel after our movie.

Dinner @ Harris Hotel as we are too lazy to travel to town. Dinner wasn't very appetizing, we should have head to Black Canyon for dinner instead.

Complimentary breakfast and lunch the next day. Very decent and basic food spread, nothing to be WOW about. 

Overall, i would say the hotel is pretty comfortable and clean and the staff was pretty friendly helping me to connect to WIFI. The network is really weak there though :(
